About Ashley
I am a third-year student of the CIDA accredited Bachelor of Interior Design program at Vancouver Island University.
Ever since I was a young girl, the design world fascinated me. I can remember rearranging my parent’s living room and family room when they left for work or went to bed often. Growing up, HGTV was my go to tv channel to put on when I got home from school.
Throughout my adolescent years, my parents became entrepreneurs which encouraged me to understand the business world at a young age. During this impactful time of my life, I learned how to make decisions on my own which has helped shape me to the driven and dedicated
person I am today. My adventurous sprit provides that edge needed in the interior design industry to push forward when presented with adversities.
As a designer, I am inspired by creating elegant spaces that honour the clients and enrich their lifestyle. I am passionate about the environment and the ways in which human activity impacts individual’s mental, physical and emotional well-being. I value the research that is needed to design spaces in order to create a space that has energizing properties with positive health and wellness benefits.
“Design that promotes well-being, gives people spaces to live comfortably, and allows them an outlet to express themselves through design is my passion.”
